While serving as a Partner and Vice President for the Greater Boston Region for Feldco Development, Jeff was integrally involved in every aspect of the successful entitlement process for Tremont Crossing, a 1.7 million square foot, mixed-use project planned for the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston. The project site was located on approximately seven-acres of land owned by the Boston Planning & Development Agency with the approved development consisting of: 727 market-rate, multifamily units (655,000 square feet); approximately 400,000 square feet of retail; a 200,000 square foot office tower and an approximately 1,300 space parking structure. Additionally, the project plans included a 31,000 square foot, world class museum and cultural center.
While working on Tremont Crossing, Jeff's responsibilities included serving as Feldco’s point person for the project’s approvals and he was tasked with overseeing all elements of the project’s entitlements. In addition to the project receiving approval from the BPDA Board for its Article 80- Large Project Review, Tremont Crossing also received: MEPA approval from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; zoning relief via approval of a Planned Development Area (PDA) by the City of Boston’s Zoning Commission; and unanimous approval from all required community oversight committees, including the Roxbury Strategic Master Plan Oversight Committee, the Project Review Committee, and the Impact Advisory Group.
Additionally, Jeff was the project’s point person relative to its multifamily residential component and was responsible for negotiating multimillion dollar joint venture agreements with several of the nation’s leading multifamily development companies, and for formulating the project’s affordable housing program with the BPDA and the Boston Housing Authority.
